1. Take either a soft, flexible tape measure or a piece of string and wrap it around the circumference of your head.

2. As a guide, the tape or string should sit on the middle of the forehead, about 1 inch above the ears and across the largest part at the back of your head.

3. Hold the tape or string at the point where it meets to get your measurement (if you have used string you'll need to measure it).

4. Repeat these steps two or three times to ensure your measurement is accurate. It can also be really helpful to ask somebody else to measure your head for you.

The average women's head size in the UK is 56-57cm.
Our hat sizes range from 53cm to 59cm.
If you measure in between two sizes, always choose the larger size.
The hats can be made smaller by inserting materials into the inside fold. They cannot be made any larger.
If you are purchasing a hat as a surprise for somebody and are unable to get their head size measurement, you are welcome to select the 'average size' option. This means you will receive either a 56cm or 57cm hat.
